What color highlights should i get for dark brown hair?

my hair is dark brown and curly which means its pretty thick and dry. what color highlights would look best with my dark brown hair? i kind want something daring.What color highlights should i get for dark brown hair?

I'd go with a nice carmel color. It doesn't seem -too- daring, but trust me, highlights come out very shocking at first. Carmel looks great with dark brown hair.

whatever you do, DON'T get red highlights. i mean the ruby red kind, not the redhead strawberry/tangerineish color. so many people with dark hair get it and it looks awful. stick to lighter browns, or caramels.
i would go hot pink! that would just pop against dark hair! my friend got it and it looked awesome!! i really think you should do it!
i would say different shades of blonde it looks really good.
Lighter brown would look really good.
