I just dyed my hair and i want to highlight it today??

Ok so i dyed my hair black it looks good BUT some of the dye ain't covered all of the strands of hair if ya get me?.. like i got a clump of hair but only the middle is balck the root and bottom is still brown. I'm also putting Blonde streaks through my hair but do i have to wait 2 weeks to do this? as the parts of my hair that i said above look bad and i want to streak that part. can i do it today or do i have to wait? I dyed my hair today btw.I just dyed my hair and i want to highlight it today??
If u plan on highlighting it urself be aware because u dyed it black it has to go through about 10 stages of color to get to where u want it..And the possibility that it does not turn out how u want it is very great. most likely it will get stuck in a orange stage that u can not break out of. even if u went to a salon they could not promise u blonde and would most likely have to put on a toner ( a color to put over the orange to get rid of it). thats why salons do them both at same time.. so they dont have to try to break through that black. since color does not lift color anyways u would have to use hair bleach ... Ur opening a can of worms that u dont want open.. trust that.. U will regret it and b wasting ur money because u would be buying a new box of black dye to put back over the mess.I just dyed my hair and i want to highlight it today??
yes- you can color and highlight in the same day as long as your hair is in good condition. The problem is the stands that are black will highlight to a different color than the areas that start out brown. I would go back and reapply to the spots that you missed first if you want an even result from the highlight.
i used to do it all tha time
yeah it will be ok but carefull that the highlights dont end up orangy or different colours due to the different colours in you hair now
first of all it sounds awful.the colour has not been applied properly and it sounds as if there was not enough colour for your whole head of hair.this has got to be rectified first and this is gonna be difficult for you to do yourself get to the salon and get them to sort it or when it comes to getting your h/lights there is a good chance your hair will be so wrecked it will break/fall out.get the black redone first then your stylist can advise you on wether you should get the highlights.
I would suggest that you wait at least 2 weeks before highlighting you hair to keep it from over-processing. If you do decide to highlight it now, make sure you put a good deep conditioner on your hair to keep it from drying out.
hair is not ';alive'; and therefore CANNOT ';heal over time'; as people like to think. once damage is done then it is done and CANNOT be repaired or rectified, you can only MASK damage with products designed to make the hair APPEAR healthier therefore the question you need to be asking yourself is: will my hair take another round of colour plus bleach for the highlights??? it will make no difference doing it today or in 2 weeks or even 2 months time, but you do need to bear in mind that with coloured black hair the highlights will most certainly turn out ORANGE (at that is at the best scenario) only licensed professionals will have the skill to bleach the hair accurately enough times to achieve the desired pale yellow / blonde for highlights. if i were you i would go to a salon and have them evaluate your hair and see if it is strong and healthy enough to take all these processes.
It should be fine :) so you could go ahead and dye it and it should be fine =]
well, im 12 and my freind died her hair BRIGHT pink, i mean really bright, when the lights were out, all eyes were on her, litterally, it glowed, and she got sent home, she also got expelled till it came out, which the hairdresser said was 6 weeks, her mum didnt want her missing school for that long so she sent her to the hairdressers the day after and had it died black, to be honest, it completly recked it, but she had no choice, i think you should wait for a while x
