To wash hair or not before getting it highlighted?

I have heard that its best for hair to be a bit greasy for getting highlights but I have also heard that it better when its just not long washed as hair is a bit dryer....

Well I think what you are asking is do you put it on wet or dry hair. Most highlights I have ever done are on dry hair unless you have a very heavy build up it will work just fine, if you need to wash just dry it first. It really doesn't matter if it is just washed for it to work.To wash hair or not before getting it highlighted?

If you have really dry hair than it is best to wash it if your hair isn't damaged then sure give it day of use!
