What color highlights would go well with dark brown hair?

I'm thinking lighter brown or red?What color highlights would go well with dark brown hair?
usually a golden/carmel brown, auburn, or even a chestnut will be a nice liftWhat color highlights would go well with dark brown hair?
I would say a light cinnamon color would be nice if you look or like the color on you
red if it's really dark brown. light brown with normal dark brown hair.
Gotta go with red, I'm a sucker for a redhead tho. Biased much
