You sound just like me. I am italian and greek so my hair is JET black, even if i wanted to i cannot go any darker. I got my hair died a 'spiced rum' colour, and i got golden and red highlights with dark brown lowlights, that way when your roots go in it wont be such a shockI have black hair. I am going to the salon next week and need help on deciding a good highlight color.

I have dark hair and i got golden and red highlights just on the top part of my hair not to many and it looked really nice.


They fade after a few months which is better if u can't afford to have your roots touched up every few weeks.


Nothing looks worse than black roots coming threw.
They would have to bleach it anyway and if you have black hair the nearest color they will achieve is a sort of reddy brown which is gorgeous, I miss that hair colour so much as I got it stripped a few months back and now I'm blonde but yeah Chestnut red highlights ;)

Coffee Bean or Chestnut would be nice, also Bordeaux
maybe like a dark brown, because it looks weird when people with black hair get light streaks.

well you could just go for dark or medium brown if you dont wanty to take a HUGE risk.





or if you change ur mind, you could get platinum blonde/almost white highlights. that would be so cool.
deep dark red or brown (you can even try high and low lights to make t more natural looking)... with black hair you don't want to much of a contrast
you should get like a reddish or brownish color. that always looks natural with really dark hair. :)

i dont think any color would fit on black hair..my opinion..except for maybe red..it would be cute and stand out.
