Do highlights slim the face? What long hair cut slims the face?

I want a hair cut and color that will slim my face and sharpen my features a bit. My face looks like a round heart shape. I have a pointy chin, but the other areas seem fatty and round. I am planning to keep it at this length (almost armpit length), but want to layer it. Should I also get highlights to slim my face? What can achieve this slimming effect? weeelll, my face is oval like, but sometimes it seems kinda round to me tooo. i have long sidebangs with long layers, i guess that helps. except my hair is really long, longer than armpit length. i used to have highlights but i dint like them to much. so i say get some long sidebangs and long layers.:]Do highlights slim the face?
