Do highlights slim the face? What long hair cut slims the face?

I want a hair cut and color that will slim my face and sharpen my features a bit. My face looks like a round heart shape. I have a pointy chin, but the other areas seem fatty and round. I am planning to keep it at this length (almost armpit length), but want to layer it. Should I also get highlights to slim my face? What can achieve this slimming effect? if you get curly hair aswell it slims the face because the face to hair ratio isnt such a big difference.. have fun :)
